Team Pursuit joined over 10,000 runners yesterday morning at George Square to set off in the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish 10k run! What a turnout, even the sun showed up in Glasgow to motivate everyone over the finishing line, & the atmosphere was incredible!
We are so delighted & proud of the team who all finished in amazing times, from 48 to 63 minutes, and many broke their PBs so a massive well done to you all! It wasn’t just about turning up on the day - months of training went on behind the scenes and the team raised lots of money for the great cause.
We’d also like to give a special shout out to Chris Hayes for tackling the behemoth of a run in just 48 minutes! An incredible result!
The organisers never cut any corners when it came to the encouraging the runners either, with a Strathmore water station and charity cheering points along the way. The music was supplied by Capital FM and there was bag pipes, dancers, cheerleaders and lots more going on! So thanks to all involved!
Also a big thanks to everyone on the side lines!! It was amazing to have so many supporters cheering on the runners – giving everyone that extra push. Most importantly, well done to the thousands of runners who put themselves to the test in order to raise money for some great charities!
What run can we do next, team?! #Wolfpack
